1 bottle Scapa 1980 - 1995. 15 Year Old. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 17.14. One of 284 bottles. No box. 70cl. 56.0%. 98 Proof. Level in neck. Mark to label.
From the archives. "What a way to start the day. The other Orkney whisky, distilled by the Grand Fleet's anchorage. Pale gold colour and lots of beads from a refill cask. The nose is of wine and smoke with a heavy toffee undertone. Watered, it becomes sweet and light and perfumed, like azalea or jasmine. The taste is sweet to start and dry to finish, a balance as judicious as it is surprising. What a way to start the day, a perfect breakfast whisky." The original price for this bottle in 1995 was £43.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
