From the archives. ''The distillery lies on the Lossie, near Elgin. Its product is best known by a name which surprisingly it hyphenates with Glenlivet, though the Livet is some 20 miles away. The distillery is of great distinction, being built on the site of Pluscarden Priory, a monastic foundation where brewing and distilling were carried on from medieval times. This cask has given a pale gold colour. The spirit has a very strong, pungent nose which with water gives a hint of menthol and eucalyptus. Put it in a glass which you can swirl round and make it move. More Paradise Lost then gained, but definitely not duff.'' The original price of this bottle in 1990 was £24.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
