From the archives. "Gingerbread men. Saved from the ravages of fire in 1922, this distillery operated from the Banks of the Mill Burn. This is drawn from a sherry butt, (perhaps not a first fill), and has the spicy, sweetly sherried nose that one would expect from such. There are latent mixed peel notes, and attention reveals gingerbread; with water these notes are at once simplified and reduced, the overall impression being of spiced bread. It needs only a dash of water, if any: the character and flavour hold together best at high strength." The original price for this bottle in 1996 was £41.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
