1 bottle Laphroaig 1978 - 1995. 16 year old. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 29.7. One of 618 bottles. No box. 70cl. 55.9%. Level in neck. Good condition.
From the archives. ''Sweet sherry and light fruitiness over smoke. The only distillery to have been run for many years by a woman. Dark, red-gold and beaded, this whisky has been sixteen years in, unusually, a puncheon. It smells of malt, smoke, wood, antisepic. With water there is sweet sherry and a light fruitiness over smoke. The taste starts sweet and tarry and then quickly becomes dry and spicy, like a liquorice root. The finish is very dry and strong. Recommended for yogis or members of contemplative orders.'' The original price for this bottle in 1995 was £47.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
