1 bottle Grande Armee Napoleon Cognac Fine Champagne 1811. Driven cork with some signs of shrinkage. Level middle shoulder. Adorned with an Imperial glass shoulder button ’N’(Napoleon). No strength or capacity stated although bottle approximately 75cl in capacity. Personal collection is highly recommended as this bottle is extremely old and could be damaged in transit.
This would have been distilled over 200 years ago from pre-phylloxera vines. A beautiful and historic bottle that should be utterly divine to drink. 1811 is regarded as the greatest vintage ever and now universally held to be the finest vintage of the 19th century.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
