1 bottle Highland Park 1976 - 1996. 20 Year Old. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 4.38. One of 214 bottles. No box. 70cl. 54.4%. 95.2 Proof. Level high neck. Minor marks to label, otherwise good condition.
From the archives. "A marriage of land and sea. In 1883 this malt was served to the king of Denmark and the Emperor of Russia at Copenhagen, and they pronounced it to be "the finest they had ever tasted". One can see why, if it was as good as this example. Dull amber in colour, the nose is vinous, with a key-note of orange peel. With water it becomes sweeter and more complex: some honey and sandalwood and a whiff of the sea, but still appetisingly citric. Medium-bodied and smooth, the flavour is sweet and beautifully balanced, with peat-reek in the finish". The original price for this bottle in 1996 was £50.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
