From the archives. "Indian ink over hazelnuts. By the Cromarty Firth, the distillery overlooks the Black Isle at Alness in Rossshire. It takes its water from the Alness river; to which it has sole rights. Mid-gold colour from the sherry cask, which has given too, a nose of great distinction and variety. Sharp and sherried to begin with, it smells of Indian ink over hazel nuts. With water; it becomes full and fruity, with raisins and peardrops; lots of odours in harmony. The taste is peppery, of malt and raisins and apple pie, and the finish is very long and very dry. An extremely Distinctive malt. Original price in 1994 was £45.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
