From the archives. "The taste is biscuity, like fine champagne. The most northerly and least peaty of Islay's whiskies. Red-gold colour from oloroso sherry wood. The smells are concerntrated and complex, pungent and stimulating, sour and musty, like an old warehouse. Watered, the spirit becomes sulphurous, but classy, like aristocratic farts. A bit of ozone too; reminds one of them trams. The taste is biscuity, like a fine champagne and the finish is malty. The original price for this bottle in 1994 was £41.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
