1 bottle Bowmore 1955 - 1974. Specially bottled for 12th September 1974. Ceramic half bottle with handle tag and paper label on base with matching numbers. Molded plastic composite seal over ceramic stopper. No box. No statements of strength or capacity. Good condition. Level is audibly exceptionally high almost at the base of the stopper itself.
A simple crock holding possibly the greatest whisky we'll ever live to see. A 1955 Bowmore bottled for the opening of the visitors center in 1974. This was passed down to the vendor by their grandfather who worked at the distillery at the time. Great provenance and surprisingly this one is rammed to the top.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
