1 bottle Balvenie 1979 - 1991. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 40.4. No box. 75cl. 59.8%. Level in neck. Good condition.
From the archives. 'Famous as a propriety bottled malt, having been one of the very few to have been bottled as full strength before the advent of the Society. Pale colour from a plain oak cask. Nose of young grass, peardrops and meadowsweet. The whisky is spirituous and requires to be subdued by water to render it drinkable - whereupon it most curiously exhibits a strong taste of honey, yet is perfectly dry.''
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
