1 bottle Ardbeg 1974 - 1991. 17 Year Old. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 33.12. No box. 75cl. 56.2%. 98.3 Proof. Level in neck. Good condition.
From the archives. "Ardbeg. This is an Islay to delight all who take pleasure in such things. You can smell the peat before you raise the glass. Dark gold spirit from a sherry-wood tar barrel, by the smell of it. It is a really fine cask and there are iodine, seaweed, and vanilla odours coming though the smoke. It would go well with salted almonds and sturgeon, but, failing these, Arbroath smokies. This is great stuff and worth a lot more than we are asking for it." The original price of this bottle in 1991 was £39.
Although a condition report is normally included in the lot description, we would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids.
If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please use the link "ask a question" to make specific enquiries or to receive a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen and described.
Please note: due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
